Just weeks since the finale of Boys Planet, Pentagon’s Hui is back with his group. But before he (presumably) participates in a big Korean comeback, other members are here to deliver the Japanese-language dance track Shh. This group configuration is down to six people, which is a little jarring for an act that started as ten.
Shh is perfectly serviceable but quite faceless. Its stylish beat borrows influences from house music that would have been on trend a few years ago. The track passes by without any real high or low points. It gets bonus points for its sense of continuity, but this is also its biggest drawback. Without any big moments to look forward to, Shh feels like something you might hear playing in the background of an H&M or Forever 21 — nice, but anonymous.
