I love Christmas – I always did. And I also love Christmas carols! I am fortunate enough to know a few foreign languages, so I could understand several Christmas songs.
Out of the numerous carols out there, over the years I have my favourite Christmas carols and I am sharing them in this article.
A few of the songs included here are Christmas songs – not carols, but songs that are so popular that I am associating them with Christmas, and therefore I have included them on the list.
You can use this list of the best Christmas carols to create your Christmas playlist – or you can simply hit the play button on this list on YouTube (I included there the videos you find in this article.)
We presented you fun and interesting Christmas traditions across the globe and we also told you what are the top travel trends for 2024. So now, without further ado, let’s see the list of the most wonderful Christmas carols.
My favourite Christmas carols: the most beautiful Christmas songs
The first song on this list of most beautiful Christmas songs sets the tone: It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year.
Christmas is indeed the most beautiful time of the year: not only because of the presents people get, but because we get to spend time with our family. And after Christmas, we have the New Year – a period with a lot of hope in our souls!
My favourite Christmas Carol is Frank Sinatra – Santa Claus is Coming to Town.
I didn’t know the video – saw it many years later – but ever since I heard the song – in this interpretation, not in another one – I fell in love with it.
When I was little, I loved snow. Then I had an issue with my knee and I cannot enjoy it as much. And in 2012 I had to have a knee surgery as a result of 2 slips on the ice…
However, I love the snow. Maybe from inside the house – not outside. It is beautiful! I love the mountains covered in snow, I love my garden in the snow… My dog loved snow too, and some of my cats loved it too.
So it is no surprise that next on this list of favorite Christmas carols is one about… snow:D Dean Martin – Let it Snow
Speaking of snow one of the Christmas songs I like to listen this time of the year is Shakin’ Stevens – Merry Christmas Everyone
One Christmas song at a time we got to a point where we can say: It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas – Perry Como is my favourite version
And if we got to a Christmas atmosphere, let’s dance! It’s time to listen to Brenda Lee – Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree
Years ago I listened to a Christmas song in Spanish – and I liked it. I have heard it many times since – on the radio too – and I am including it on this list as well. So allow me to introduce you to Jose Feliciano – Feliz Navidad
Two other Christmas carols that need no introduction are: Jingle Bells
and Silent Night (Bing Crosby)
And yes, Santa is almost here! Pentatonix – Here Comes Santa Claus is another Christmas song that I like – in this version 🙂
Speaking of Christmas songs – that are not Christmas carols – Wham – Last Christmas is definitely on my list. I loved it since I was a child. And yes, years later, I lived an exact story!
Remember that this period is filled with Magic Moments! (Perry Como)
Another Christmas song – I discovered this more recently – is Santa Baby – by Eartha Kitt. BTW: I would like a convertible under the tree too. Red, not blue (but if blue is what you can bring me, I’ll accept it!)
Last on this article is a Christmas carol I discovered last year – and I have to say that I like it in this form, sung by these amazing children: Carol of the Bells. It really sounds like bells announcing the birth of Jesus – wonderful arrangement and a jolly carol.
I hope you like this selection of Christmas carols and favourite Christmas songs!
So Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas – Michael Bublé
We wish you a Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas!
