Tales of Kenzera: ZAU Steam Next Fest Demo Now Live

From now through February 12, players will be able to dive into a demo of EA Originals and Surgent Studios’ Tales of Kenzera: ZAU demo as part of Steam Next Fest.

The demo, which can be grabbed on the official Steam page for the game, contains two sections of the game, new skills, and an unlockable ability.

A poignant single-player story, players will set off on a journey as Zau as they face their own emotions to become a worthy Nganga, or spiritual healer. Along the way, players will be joined alongside mythical characters that will provide life lessons. This title was inspired by the rich myths of Bantu cultures.

As players progress through this 2.5D MetroidVania-like title, they’ll be able to wield cosmic powers that make use of rhythmic combat. Whether it’s manipulating time or launching speaks, players will set out to leap, glide, and unlock abilities along the way.

For those looking for more information, Surgent Founder Abubakar Salim will be joined by a special guest as they play Tales of Kenzera: ZAU. Players can find the broadcast on the Steam homepage for the game, which will begin February 5 at 1pm PT.

The full release will come out on April 23; players can pre-purchase the title for 10% today.
