Dragon’s Dogma 2 Side Quest Guide

Dragon’s Dogma 2 is filled with exciting and rewarding side quests, many of which are hidden and not on the map. Check out our Side Quest Guide below for the location of every side quest we discovered on our journey, and a quick walkthrough for how to complete the objectives.

Some of the side quests in Dragon’s Dogma 2 are time sensitive. This means that the events of the quest will play out, regardless of player involvement. Most of the time, this leads to two different outcomes, a positive and a negative outcome. For example, being tasked with finding someone out in the wilds who is under attack.

If you take too long to arrive, they may die. These quests are marked below by a (!) icon next to the name. We’ve been cautious and labelled ones that may be safe to wait, just to be extra safe. We recommend saving before every quest, just in case something goes wrong and rest at the Inn, so you have two files to restore to. Regardless, it’s a good idea to simply complete each quest as you unlock it and don’t get too sidetracked.

Lastly, Dragon’s Dogma 2 doesn’t differentiate between main story quests and side quests very well. So, there may be a few discrepancies.

Melve Side Quests

Brothers Brave And Timid

Quest Start Location

Outside Lennart’s House in Melve

Quest Summary

Speak with Ian and he will ask you to find his brother Norbet, who went into the woods to gather herbs.

Quest Walkthrough

Ian decides to guide you on this quest, as the path through the forest is one only he and his brother know. Escort him to the final objective location, making sure to keep Ian alive so you can rescue Norbet.

I went straight to the location and when Ian recommended camping, I ignored his suggestion and proceeded to Norbet’s location. There are several wolves that you need to kill.

Be careful, there is a larger enemy further down the road that you may not be ready for. It is not related to this quest.

Helping these brothers helps you in a quest later in the game in Melve, Home Is Where The Hearth Is.

Medicament Predicament

Quest Start Location

You begin this quest by speaking with Flora outside the Apothecary in Melve

Quest Summary

Flora, an apothecary in training, asks you to make a Fruit Roborant, a very powerful healing item.

Quest Walkthrough

There are two options here. You can either make the Fruit Roborant yourself or you can simply head inside the Apothecary and purchase one yourself for 600 Gold.

If you want to make it yourself, you simply need Dried Fruit and Greenwarish or Morningtide herbs. Dried Fruit is obtained by combining 2x of any ripened fruit. The herbs are commonly found when exploring the world.

Once this quest is completed, you can find Flora at her fathers market stall in Vernworth. Speak to her there to get a 20% discount on her fathers wares and unlock a Specialization

Nesting Troubles

Quest Start Location

Lennart, a soldier, stands in the heart of Melve near the well. He asks you to aid with rebuilding efforts. I had returned to Melve after several hours of doing story missions.

Quest Summary

Clear out the nearby next of Saurians.

Quest Walkthrough

Go to the shoreline and pick up the fire barrels. Throw them onto the nest to kill the Saurians. Then, return to Lennart.

Repeat the process with the poison barrel.

Rewards

Readvent Of Calamity

Quest Start Location

During the main story, you will be sent back to Melve to investigate a letter. Upon arrival, you will encounter a dragon and this quest.

Quest Summary

The people of Melve have suffered the dragons wraith twice now, and its people need aid. Return to Melve frequently to provide assistance.

Quest Walkthrough

The first time you arrive and this quest is available, you need to take down the dragon. The quest marker remains in town after the battle but I was unable to progress until I took an Oxcart back to the capital and then returned to Melve later.

Upon you return, visit Ulrika’s home and she should be in the office area speaking with Martin. Speak with her after the meeting. After you stay the night, Ulrika will flee Melve and you will need to track her down.

Ulrika flees to Harve village because a dragon attack occurred there as well. You then need to return to Melve.

Home Is Where The Hearth Is

Quest Start Location

You must first complete Readvent Of Calamity and then you can find this quest in Melve.

Quest Summary

The people of Melve are ready to push the soldiers out and go to the town Ulrika mentioned. You have to get them some swords so they can fight their way out.

Quest Walkthrough

Near the exit of the town, you will find a storehouse with the villager’s swords inside. If you helped out the brothers earlier (Brothers Brave And Timid quest), they will distract the guards so you can get the gear. Bring the swords back to the village Chief, and they will arm themselves. Fight the guards back a bit, and they will retreat, and the villagers will leave. Then you go see Ulrika in a few days.

Borderwatch Outpost Side Quests

Ordeal’s Of A New Recruit (!)

Quest Start Location

Speak to the guards near the South West entrance in Borderwatch Outpost

Quest Summary

The guards explain a new recruit was sent off to investigate sightings of nearby Harpy’s, they request your aid.

Quest Walkthrough

Simply follow the objective marker down the road a short distance and you will encounter the recruit. Defeat the Harpy enemies and keep the recruit alive to finish the side quest.

The Provisioner’s Plight

Quest Start Location

Speak with Geoffrey in the camp. I came back to Borderwatch Outpost much later in the story, so this may not be available early on.

Quest Summary

Geoffrey asks you to seek out Marcus and provide him with a note for additional information on supplies.

Quest Walkthrough

Head North to the objective marker and hand Markus the letter. Markus refuses to do extra work and you need to find 3x Harspuds and 2x Salubrious Draughts. The Draught’s are simple enough to make via the Combine menu.

Find nearby Greenwarish plants and combine them with any fruit. For the Harspuds, return to Borderwatch Outpost and investigate the Borderwatch Stores on the West side of camp. You can find Harspuds growing there.

Vermund Region Side Quests

Tolled To Rest

Quest Start Location

The Ancient Battlefield in Vermund.

Quest Summary

As you approach from the South, you will need to aid and drive back the monsters.

Quest Walkthrough

Follow Oskar through the ruins until he rings the bell at the end. Secret Note: On the route up to the castle you will see catapults on your left. You can put nearby rocks into the catapult to destroy a nearby wall.

Reward

Nation’s Death Knell (Used in a later quest). Ancient Battle Key (There’s a locked door in the castle area)

Claw Them Into Shape

Quest Start Location

Beren’s Tent. In order to start this quest you need to speak to Beren at Borderwatch Outpost. He’s training a couple of soldiers in the training area. He will then later appear at Beren’s Tent.

Quest Summary

Beren requires weapons and a motivated soldier to help train his troops.

Quest Walkthrough

Important: I recommend resting an an Inn and keeping that save untouched, should you need to reload if the outcome of the second quest is negative.

Head to the capital Vernworth and you will be approached by a young man called Humphrey. If you’ve yet to reach Vernworth, follow the main story until it takes you there. Beren requires you to deliver 3 swords, any type. I accepted Humphrey as the soldier as I was unable to find anyone else.

I purchased 3x Broadswords from the shop in Vernworth as there’s a follow on quest and I wanted to make sure Humphrey survived.

If you’re struggling to beat Beren, the Thief is the easiest Vocation. Save before the fight. Right at the start of the battle use the Imposition (rope pull) ability to put him off balance, then immediately use it again to throw him out of the arena.

I believe you must beat Beren and have supplied good weapons for Humphrey to survive the next quest. Wait some time and then return to Beren once this quest is complete.

Quest Summary

Beren’s camp gets attacked by a Cyclops.

Quest Walkthrough

Defeat the Cyclops and ensure Humphrey survives. Wait a day and then return to Beren to see him off.

Spellbound

Quest Start Location

Eini’s Home. I visited at the very start of the game and Eini and her grandma were there. I returned much later and Eini was alone. I was also a Sorcerer at the time, which may also be related. Then she gave me this quest.

Quest Summary

You need to collect and deliver a series of Grimoires including Let There Be Light, Fulminous Shield, Nation’s Death Knell, Howling Blizzard, and Towering Faith. These are the same Grimoires required to complete The Sorcerer’s Appraisal quest for Eini’s father, Myrddin.

Quest Walkthrough

Nations Death Knoll

Ancient Battleground Castle. There’s a quest here where you escort an NPC to ring a bell. You will find the book on a stand at the bells location.

Fulminous Shield

Purchase from a Wandering Merchant in Melve.

Towering Earth

Follow the main story until you complete the side quest The Caged Magistrate. Then, if you have either this quest or the Spellbound quest, you can speak with Waldhar to get the book. If you have already freed him from jail, he will be at the Golden Hand Vaults.

Let There Be Light

You can find this upstairs in Myrddin’s Home in Checkpoint Rest Town. If you also have The Sorcerer’s Appraisal quest, you will need to steal it or he will attack you. Walk up to Myrddin and use the grab action to pick him up. Run down the path outside of his house and put him down in the small building at the end of the path.

Then run back to his house, up into his study, and grab the book from the table.

Howling Blizzard

Head to the Waterfall Cave, North East of Borderwatch Outpost. There’s a skeleton boss at the end. You can find the book in the chest it guards.

You give her the tomes, and she says to come check back in a few days since she has to study. When you come back, she is throwing around uncontrollable spells. Tackle her to stop her magic. We suggest using the Wait command on your Pawns so they don’t attack and kill her.

Then Grandma said to come back in another few days to check up on her. Wait a few more days and come back and she will reward you with 4500g and a Cast Stone staff. Talking to her again gets you the Enchanters Almanac ability for Mages. Talking to her Grandma after will get you the Sorcerer spell Meteoron.

Gift Of The Bow

Quest Start Location

Speak to the elven man standing outside Roderick’s Smithy in Vernworth.

Quest Summary

You need to help Glyndwr complete his training challenge

Quest Walkthrough

Before you actually receive the quest from Glyndwr, you first need to give him a bow. Any bow should be fine, he then marvels at its design and asks you meet you at Trevo Mine. You need to have the Archer Vocation equipped on your main character to complete this quest, so make sure you do that before heading to Trevo Mine.

Head to the location marked on the map, speak with Glyndwr, fire a single arrow into the target, and complete the quest.

Vocation Frustration

Quest Start Location

You start this quest by speaking with the man in Vernworth Vocation Guild

Quest Summary

You need to locate a greatsword and an archistaff to unlock additional Vocations

Quest Walkthrough

After you get the quest, speak to the local armorer in Merchant Quarter and he will inform you of the goblin attack on his supply wagon.

You then need to track down the goblin lair, clear the goblins out and find the items. You can find the goblin lair through the quest objective marker. The greatsword is easy to find. For the archistaff, head to the room with the wooden bridges. There’s a campfire down below.

Head behind the campfire to a small crevice and the chest is at the back. Return the items

A Trial Of Archery

Quest Start Location

After completing Gift of the Bow, Glyndwr approached me in town the next day.

Quest Summary

Glyndwr wants you to attend his Trial at the Sacred Arbor

Quest Walkthrough

This is a simple but rather lengthy escort mission. Meet with Glyndwr and then travel with him to Sacred Arbor, it’s a long journey but nothing too dangerous.

When you arrive, you learn Glyndwr’s sister Doireann, has been captured by an Ogre. Head to the location to take the Ogre down. When you arrive, your primary goal is to protect Doireann. Run into the battle and grab her, then run back to the earlier room.

There’s a tree heavily overgrowing a bridge, you can use the small archway underneath to avoid the Ogre while your allies and Glyndwr take down the Ogre.

I didn’t want to risk the death of Doireann, so I fled with the body and complete the quest. Don’t forget to return, there’s a chest behind where the Ogre was.

A Beggar’s Tale

Quest Start Location

The Merchant Quarter in Venworth. There’s a beggar standing by the water feature statue.

Quest Summary

As you approach the beggar, a man tells you a brief story. You are then tasked with following the beggar.

Quest Walkthrough

I’m not sure if this is required but speak with Albert and give him 100 Gold, I did this 2-3 times until I could give him no more. Then, stand nearby so you can hear him, and listen to his story.

At this point, you just need to wait until Albert leaves the area. I tried resting at the Inn, I tried passing the time at the tavern, both times Albert vanished by the time I had returned. So you just need to wait nearby until he moves away.

I think this depends on the time of day but I sat there listening to his stories for perhaps 15-20 minutes before he moved away. He will then walk, slowly, to Walter’s Tavern, on the East side of town just outside the castle walls.

He will then remain there for quite some time before heading back to his house. Follow him there. You then need to wait for 5-10 minutes until he leaves and the door is unlocked. You can then go inside and get the Beggars Garb. You then choose who to deliver it to:

Celina

You get 1x Noobloom, 3,000 Gold, and both Celina and Albert are found dead.

The Ornate Box

Quest Start Location

There’s an angry merchant in Vernworth, just on the North East side of the Merchant Quarter. As you approach, you hear him shouting at someone.

Quest Summary

The young Urchin that you encountered before, Sven, wants to buy an Ornate Box.

Quest Walkthrough

Speak with Sven after you start the quest. You can either give him the gold or buy the Ornate Box from the stall directly opposite where Sven stands. If you have completed the Medicament Predicament side quest in Melve, you get a discount on the stall and the Ornate Box costs 800 Gold.

There are two options here. You can either give him the cash or the Ornate Box. If you have the Ornate Box, you need to put it into storage to give him the cash. The rewards are different depending on your choice, shown below.

After a few days, return to the Merchant’s Quarter and you’ll find Sven sitting on the fountain.

The Heel Of History

Quest Start Location

There is a priest outside The Gracious Hand on the East side of town asking for donations. I donated two fish and he gave me this quest.

Quest Summary

The priest asks you to find Malcom, a young lad that has gone missing in the grounds. He tasks you with finding him.

Quest Walkthrough

Head inside the house and speak with Aimee, the girl sitting on the floor. Then head outside and speak with Harvey, another boy sitting on the ground. There’s another boy nearby, Rick, standing beside the well. Speak with him as well. Then speak to the priest again.

He should be in the same place but he does move during the night. Follow the priest into the vaults.

Once inside, jump the gap, and head around to find Malcom. Then simply follow him through the rest of the quest.

A Place To Call Home

Quest Start Location

On the road just South East of The Stardrop Inn

Quest Summary

Mildred is going travelling for a while and asks you to look after her house

Quest Walkthrough

After you obtain the quest, follow the objective marker to Mildred’s house. Wait an in-game week for the next phase. She will appear at the house. Speak with her and she will offer to sell you her house for 20,000 Gold.

Reward

A house in Vernworth complete with a chest for depositing items and combining, and a free bed for resting.

Saint Of The Slums

Quest Start Location

You can begin this quest outside The Gracious Hand. As you approach, a man is talking about his ill son. If it’s not there when you visit, try progressing with the main story and returning later

Quest Summary

You are tasked with finding 3x Miasmite to aid in the healing of the boy

Quest Walkthrough

The only enemies we have found to drop Miasma are ghosts. To encounter ghosts, you first need to make sure it is dark. During night time, venture out into the world. You will often find Skeletons and Ghosts.

Kill the Ghosts, as they drop the Miasmite you require. Return with the 3 Miasmite.

You will then be tasked with investigating The Gracious Hand. Simply head outside and you will be approached by a lady. She tells you of strange sounds and medicines in the basement. Head inside and speak with Lubomir before heading to the basement.

Try and enter and the abbess will tell you that you can’t. Find somewhere to rest or past the time until night. Return at night and she will leave the room unlocked.

Head into the backroom, through the curtain, and pick up the Records document and the Unlabeled Medicine. Then, head upstairs.

Speak to Lubomir and give him the records and medicine. Travel to Walter’s Tavern, down the road, and speak with the two men there before heading to the square in the Common Quarter at night. Spy on the conversation.

Then travel all the way West to the Rest Town to deliver the medicine to the doctor. Wait for the doctor to check the medicine and speak with him again.

Once you have all the evidence you need to turn the abbess over to the sentinels. To do this, simply approach the abbess and use the grab command.

Quest Start Location

You can start this quest by speaking with Daphne. She hangs around in the Slums area at night

Quest Summary

Daphne wants a gift to give to The Gracious Hand

Quest Walkthrough

You need to find some flowers. You can sometimes find them on a bed in the inn. Otherwise, you can match a Bunch of Flowers using any of the following item combinations:

Sunbloom + NoonBloom. Sunbloom & Moonglow, Noonbloom & Moonglow

Next, you need to find some Silver Ore. This is freely available in most caves and caverns. Trevo Mine is a good spot to start. After delivering the Silver Ore to Daphne, you’ll need to wait a few days and come back.

She will then ask for two pieces of Gold Ore, which can be found with any other ore, it’s just rarer. Lastly, she will ask for 5 Antidotes for Blight.

You can either buy these at an Apothecary or make them yourself. To make them it’s

Quest Start Location

You can start this quest in The Gracious Hands Vault after you complete The Caged Magistrate and tell Waldhar to return to the vaults

Quest Summary

Waldhar wants you to steal his glasses from the guards

Quest Walkthrough

Follow the main story until you reach the quest A Magisterial Amenity, you will be given a Masquerade Mask. You can then steal the clothes you need from the Watchhead’s Home in the Noble Quarter.

Then, simply follow the objective marker to steal the glasses. Return to The Gracious Hands Vault to finish the quest. The quest marker may direct you to Baldwin’s Estate, ignore that.

Quest Start Location

North Vernworth Oxcart Station, speak with Donovan, man in a red shirt

Quest Summary

You need to escort an Oxcart to Melve

Quest Walkthrough

Wait at the Oxcart Station. You can interact with the post to wait until the next trip. Make sure you pay the driver before boarding. Then board the rear of the Oxcart and just wait.

You will journey to Melve automatically and will just need to defend the cart on the way. You can choose to doze off to skip travel.

When you arrive, hand the letter to Ser Lennart, who can be found in the center of town near the well.

Quest Start Location

After enough progress in the game, when wandering around Vernworth, you will get this quest notification.

Quest Summary

A man has been tailing you, you need to find out why

Quest Walkthrough

Once the quest pops up, search the immediate area for a man in a hood and dark clothing. You will need to chase him down and use the grab command. Once grabbed, there is a choice you can make (Dragon’s Dogma 2 Choices Guide). Then wait a few days and report to Brant to get the details.

A Case Of Sculptor’s Block

Quest Start Location

Outside Klark’s Estate in the Noble Quarter. I was approached by a man as I was going by.

Quest Summary

You are tasked with visiting Fulvio in Battahl.

Quest Walkthrough

Travel to Battahl and head to the capital city Bakbattahl. It’s a long way West and you need a permit to travel into Battahl lands. You get the permit by following the main story.

You can either head to the location and fight long enough for the sculpture to finish or you can head to Medusa’s Lair. If you mount her head as a melee class and do enough damage, combined with a final heavy blow to finish her off, you should take her head off.

You can then equip it and head to the sculpture spot. Once you get there, open your inventory and use the head from your inventory to petrify something in front of you.

The head has very limited use and will disappear after a few seconds

Quest Start Location

Down the road from Diviner’s Salon, on the staircase leading down to the Slums. I was approached by a lady who gave me this quest. You must also have completed The Gift Of Giving.

Quest Summary

Diana asks you to meet her master at the manor in the Noble Quarter

Quest Walkthrough

Head to the house in the Noble Quarter and then head to the Slums to find Daphne. Return to the Townsend’s Estate with Daphne and then you will need to give Sebastian items for his journey.

You need to give Sebastian 1x Misshapen Eye, a common drop from Cyclops enemies, and two potions. A Detoxifying Decoction and a Waking Powder potion, both of which can be purchased from the Apothecary in town. The Detoxifying Decoction can be made by mixing a Pitywort and Syrupwort, but we have yet to find a recipe for the Waking Powder.

Dulled Steel, Cold Forge

Quest Start Location

A guard approached me near Vernworth Castle Fountain Garden and asked to speak with me

Quest Summary

You are tasked with finding someone capable of repairing the Dulled Regalia Sword

Quest Walkthrough

You need to travel to Brokkr’s Smithy in Bakbattahl, which is the region to the West. To reach Bakbattahl, you need to follow the main story until you get a Border Entry Permit, which grants access to Battahl from Checkpoint Rest Town.

Once you can enter Battahl, simply travel to Bakbattahl and find Brokkr. You then need to head into the mine.

When you enter the mine, there’s a powerful minotaur on the right and another one at the end, so be prepared for some tough fights.

It’s easier to spot the Glimmercoal with your lantern off, as it glows green. Otherwise, it’s a spikey black rock. Pay careful attention to the Glimmercoal, this is the item you need. Most of the time you will gather Glymercole, that’s not the correct item. So make sure you have 25 Glimmercoal before returning.

The quest only asks for 15 but there’s a partial delivery and a full delivery. We recommend doing the full delivery.

Quest Start Location

Speak with Sven in his quarters on the upper floor of the castle

Quest Summary

Sven wants you to infiltrate a palace masquerade and deliver a letter to Lord Patrick

Quest Walkthrough

Wait until nighttime and head to the masquerade, bring your masquerade equipment with you. Once inside, you are looking for Lord Patrick. It doesn’t matter if you guess wrong, so don’t fret if you make a mistake.

You’ll find him walking around the central hall. Once you’ve given him the letter, return to Sven in his room at the castle.

A Veil Of Gossamer Clouds

Quest Start Location

Sven in his room in the castle. A messenger told me to contact Sven after I was sent to Battahl as part of the main story

Quest Summary

Sven wants you to investigate an unfinished letter

Quest Walkthrough

You need to take the letter to Waldhar, who should be in The Gracious Hands Vault. Then, return the letter to Sven.

The Phantom Oxcart

Quest Start Location

The West Ventworth Oxcart Station at night. I heard a guard talking about a Phantom Oxcart, listen to the conversation to get the quest.

Quest Summary

You are tasked with investigating the Phantom Oxcart.

Quest Walkthrough

Rest at an Inn or at your house until Nightfall and then head straight to the objective marker, North East of the city. You will see the Phantom Oxcart on the road.

After you witness the conversation, you’ll need to chase the guard for a brief moment before he stops and agrees to talk to you.

There are two choices here. You can either accept his payment or send him to jail. I sent him to jail. If you choose to let him live, he gives you 5,000 Gold.

The next objective is to find someone to look at the document. Wait until Nightfall and then head to the tavern in the city to speak with Brant. He then tasks you with finding the destination of the Oxcart.

I waited until Nightfall and then left for the objective marker. Remove all your clothes and weapons and then speak with the driver. He thinks you are a pawn and will let you ride in the back. Make sure to remain naked for the entire journey.

At the end, kill the guards and loot the evidence. Then return to Brant.

Quest Start Location

I was at the beach area in Harve Village, next to the Rivage Elder’s Home and Portcrystal, after completing the Monster Culling main story quest in the area. As I returned to the village, I was approached by a villager who asked me to clear the Saurian’s.

Quest Walkthrough

Clear the village of Saurian. There are only three or four. Wait a day and return to the village.

You’ll be tasked with killing more Saurian’s again.

Quest Start Location

After completing Scaly Invaders, return to Harve Village some days later.

Quest Summary

You learn that someone is trapped in Stormwind Cave and Fyoran wants your aid in rescuing them.

Quest Walkthrough

Head into the cave, clear out all the enemies, and rescue Zoran. To find him, as you enter, follow the path all the way South. The second large room you find, head down the east passage.

Once you exit, return to the heart of the village. You and Fyoran are banished from the village.

Sacred Arbor Side Quests

The Ailing Arborheart

Quest Start Location

After completing A Trial Of Archery, return to Sacred Arbor after some time passes. You will find Glyndwr’s sister, Doireann, standing outside the front steps of The Arborheart

Quest Summary

Doireann asks you to locate and bring back something called Gwyfencha

Quest Walkthrough

You probably need to wait some time before you’re able to complete this quest. You first need to follow the main story until you get access to the second region, Battahl. Once you have access to that region, you need to travel all the way to the South to Drabnir’s Grotto.

The Grotto acts as a path between the Battahl region and Agamen Volcanic Islands, the third region. Shortly after you arrive at the Volcanic Islands, you will meet a dwarf here.

This dwarf starts another side quest Put A Spring in Thy Step. You need to complete this side quest and then visit the dwarf at his home. He will tell you that Gwyfencha is scalecinder.

Then, return to Bakbattahl, the capital of Battahl, and speak with Brokkr’s Smithy. They will tell you that a special elven dish is required. At which point, you must return to Doireann in Sacred Arbor.

Checkpoint Rest Town Side Quests

Hunt For The Jadeite Orb

Quest Start Location

As you arrive in town, from the North East entrance, a peddler will approach you and give you this quest

Quest Summary

You are tasked with tracking down the Jadeite Orb.

Quest Walkthrough

After grabbing the quest, speak with the other peddler near Celeste’s Smithy, he also wants you to procure the orb. If you originally got the quest from Everard, return to the entrance to the town and speak with the Peddler there. If you go too far into the town, Everard will have him killed.

You can purchase the Jadeite Orb from Ibrahim’s Scrap Store in Checkpoint Rest Town for 7,500 Gold.

There are multiple methods to solve this quest as you can give the Jadeite Orb back to Ibrahim and have him create a forgery or you can create two forgeries. You can then decide whether to give the legitimate orb to Offulve or Everard.

The “best” reward here is to give Everard the real one and Offulve the fake one. This gets you 15,000 Gold, an Elite Camping Kit, and a Ring of Skullduggery (Increases damage when attacking from rear). However, this results in Offulve being killed.

We recommend giving the legitimate orb to Offulve and then the fake on to Everard. When Everard has the item inspected, pay Ibrahim to lie. You lose the 12,000 Gold reward but Offulve has the legitimate article.

Prey For The Pack (!)

Quest Start Location

As you approach the South of Celeste’s Smithy, a man calls for help to locate his son.

Quest Summary

Rodge, the grandson of the apothecary, has been dragged away by wolves.

Quest Walkthrough

Speak to Alsa near the Ox Cart in the North East of town. Then speak with Timothy nearby, he’s near a cart. Then an old lady called Jacint, wearing a white apron and hat. She roams the area. Rodge can be found at this location, inside the cave.

You can follow blue flower petals along the floor, that glow at night, leading you to the cave shown. Once you have saved Rodge, simply escort him all the way back to town.

Be careful on the run back. The pathing here can be a little poor, so keep an eye on Rodge and make sure he’s close. If you lose him, he won’t be on the map, so just retrace your footsteps until you find him.

The Sorcerer’s Appraisal

Quest Start Location

You can start this quest at Myrddin’s House. You need Courtly Clothes & Sorcerer Vocation equipped to enter

Quest Summary

Myrddin asks you to track down a number of grimoires

Quest Walkthrough

You need to find Grimoires called Let There Be Light, Fulminous Shield, Nation’s Death Knell, Howling Blizzard, and Towering Faith. These are also required in a side quest for Myrddin’s daughter in Spellbound. So if you want to see what happens with that quest, check the Spellbound quest in the Vermund region above.

Nations Death Knoll

Ancient Battleground Castle. There’s a quest here where you escort an NPC to ring a bell. You will find the book on a stand at the bells location.

Fulminous Shield

Purchase from a Wandering Merchant in Melve.

Towering Earth

Follow the main story until you complete the side quest The Caged Magistrate. Then, if you have either this quest or the Spellbound quest, you can speak with Waldhar to get the book. If you have already freed him from jail, he will be at the Golden Hand Vaults.

Let There Be Light

You can find this upstairs in Myrddin’s Home in Checkpoint Rest Town. You will need to steal it or he will attack you. Walk up to Myrddin and use the grab action to pick him up. Run down the path outside of his house and put him down in the small building at the end of the path.

Then run back to his house, up into his study, and grab the book from the table.

Howling Blizzard

Head to the Waterfall Cave, North East of Borderwatch Outpost. There’s a skeleton boss at the end. You can find the book in the chest it guards.

You can craft a forgery of each of the books at Ibrahim’s Scrap Store in Checkpoint Rest Town.

Quest Start Location

Quest Summary

You’re tasked with taking down Coral Snake bandits.

Quest Walkthrough

Simply follow the road South. You will encounter a man that speaks of the Coral Snake hideout and adds a marker to your map. It’s further South, at a Camp Site icon North West of Battahl Ropeway Station Two.

Once you discover the bandits follow them through the caves and tunnels. You’ll have to clear out the bandits base, quite a lot in here so be prepared, then follow the bandit out the other side.

Bakbattahl Side Quests

A Poisonous Proposal

Quest Start Location

Enter Jarle’s Home in Bakbattahl

Quest Summary

Jarle wants you to get afflicted by Asp poison

Quest Walkthrough

Simply head to one of the objective locations and let an Asp poison you. Do not cure the poison, instead return to Jarle.

If you get poisoned and then heal it, you will lost the objective marker for where to find Asps. You can find some at the base of the bridge here.

After that, you need to get poisoned by Venin Harpy’s and repeat the steps. In case the same thing happens, they can be found here.

Next up, he wants you to witness as he exposes himself to the poison of a Chimera. Sounds like a great idea. Head North East of the city to the map objective.

You need to be careful in this battle. I felled the Chimera too quickly and Jarle was not poisoned. You have to wait for Jarle to get poisoned before killing it

Quest Summary

Wait For Sara To Repair The Sword

Quest Walkthrough

I gathered all 25 Glimmercoal for the previous quest and entrusted Sara to repair the Regalia Sword. After some time, return, and she will tell you she has made little progress.

She will ask you to return after another day. Return after 1 day passes and Brokkr will tell you she’s gone missing, you’ll need to head to the Mountain Cave Base on the map.

Once you’re at the cave make sure to kill all of the enemies on the way to Sara. Once she’s found, you will need to run her back to the entrance as quickly as possible. So, clear a path and remember the route.

Once she’s back at the Blacksmith, she’ll repair the Regalia Sword. You then return to Roman.

Shadowed Prayers (!)

Quest Start Location

Head to the entrance of the Flamebearer Palace and speak with Menella

Quest Summary

You are tasked with defending Empress Nadinia from an assassination attempt

Quest Walkthrough

Rest or wait until morning and then return to the palace. I did nothing between so this may be an urgent quest, I’m not sure.

When you get there you will be given an arrest document and a description of the assassin. He’s the man kneeling on the stairs, with his hair tied back, and a sword at his waist. This man.

Out Of The Forest, Into The Forge

Quest Start Location

After completing The Ailing Arborheart

Quest Summary

You must report back to Doireann

Quest Walkthrough

Once you pick up this quest, return to Sacred Arbor and speak with Doireann. She will ask for rotten apples and rotten fish. Simply hold some in your inventory until they rot.

Fish are easy enough to find. I only found applies way south, over the large river, closer to Trevo Mine. They grow on bushes.

It takes 3-4 days of an item being in your inventory to ripen and then rot. Have Doireann prepare the dish and then return to Brokkr’s Smithy.

She gives you a Ferrystone to return to Bakbattahl. Retun to Brokkr’s and Sara will take you to a cave. I found 6 pieces in the cave.

Short-Sighted Ambition

Quest Start Location

Purchased a Ferrystone from the Issac’s Wares to start this quest

Quest Summary

Issac asks you to procure a ripened quince

Quest Walkthrough

Quince are common throughout Battahl. They are small, yellow fruits that grow on bushes. Keep one in your inventory for some time and it will ripen.

It takes 2-4 days for items to ripen and then rot. It’s a good idea to store it once it’s ripe, as this stops further degredation. Return to Issac after a few days.

You then need to find the other volume of the Transference Of Souls. You can purchase the second volume in Checkpoint Rest Town at Ibrahim’s Scrap Store for 2,000 Gold.

If you want to avoid making Isaac blind, which is what we assume happens if he gets the other volume, it’s a good idea to have Ibrahim forge the second volume.

Put A Spring In Thy Step

Quest Start Location

Just East of the exit of Drabnir’s Grotto. A struggling dwarf walks along the road

Quest Walkthrough

There are plenty of wildflowers nearby, grab three and return them to him. You then need to walk on the rocky path in the water to reach his house.

After speaking with him in his home, agree to escort him to the hot springs. It’s a long walk and there are minotaur’s and other threats along the road.

Once you reach the Volcanic Island Camp, head to the Hot Springs.

After completing the Shadowed Prayers side quest, you can find Manella in the Volcanic Island Camp

Quest Summary

Manella wants you to identify the assassin

Quest Walkthrough

Head to the Gaol. The best way to enter is through the Forbidden Magick Research Lab which can be found next to the Flamebearer Palace Audience Chamber. Once in the Forbidden Research Lab, head through the Laboratorium Chemical stores tunnels and you will reach the Gaol.

You have to pay Herman 5,000 Gold and he will tell you that he was hired by the Coral Snakes. Then, return to Menella at the Volcanic Island Camp.

You will then need to return to the Gaol and speak with Ashe in one of the cells, he has red tattoo markings all over his body. Finally, return to Menella in the city.

When you prepare to set up the trap there is a choice to either support or oppose the empress. If you oppose, the assassin escapes. Let the Empress stay and then when the assassin asks you to kill the Empress, draw your weapon and attack the Empress with it.

Quest Walkthrough

You can find Newt Liqueur at Gautstafr’s House, that you find during the Put A Spring In Thy Step quest. Lamdon wants a lot more. You can make it yourself or find it. Making it requires 1x Fruit Wine and 1x Saurian Tail.

You can find another in the Laboratorium Chemical Stores in the Forbidden Magick Research lab beneath the Flamebearer Palace.
