Mecha BREAK GDC 2024 Preview

With a winning sales pitch of “blitz, brawl, blaze,” Seasun Games’ Mecha BREAK is willing to throw caution to the wind with its large-scale battles. With its upcoming closed beta, see how players will be able to suit up like Shinji and live out their wildest mecha dreams in a battle symphony for the ages.

Seeing it in action at the Mashmak Exclusive World Premiere Tour during GDC 2024 in San Francisco, we were inspired by Mecha BREAK’s sheer amount of speed and firepower proudly on display.

Growing up on a healthy diet of all flavors of Gundam (thanks Toonami!), Mecha BREAK channels the best elements from this time-honored series with its larger-than–life battles. With players squading up for six-versus-six battles as part of its Mashmak 256 square kilometer map, we saw players competing for resources and objective points. There’s also support for up to 60 players, and we just can’t wait to see Mecha BREAK’s sheer action unfold on a grand scale.

This action gets that much wilder with its different classes. Assault, melee, sniper, reconnaissance, and support mechs added to plenty of variety, and there was even an MVP during this session that truly stood out with their prowess.

If anything, we like how Mecha BREAK builds upon the foundation of fast-paced mecha titles like Bandai Namco’s Mobile Suit Gundam: Extreme Vs. Promising teamwork, strategy, skill, and plenty of firepower, Mecha BREAK is one title we’ve got our eye on.

All those interested in joining the Closed Beta can sign up via the Mecha BREAK Closed Beta recruitment survey when it opens up soon.

In the interim, all those interested can check out the Closed Beta trailer below:

A very special thank you to PR for inviting us to the Mashmak Exclusive World Premiere Tour in San Francisco for this preview.
