The team at Niantic recently announced that Monster Hunter Now’s annual Happy Hunting New Year celebration will kick off December 23.
Set to begin on December 23 at at 9:00am (local time), Monster Hunter Now’s Happy Hunting New Year event will give Hunters the chance to get their hands on event-exclusive layered equipment, armor skills, and holiday deals.

Event-Exclusive Rewards
Hunters can participate in limited-time Monster Hunter Now quests from December 23-31 to collect Palisnow. These can then be exchanged for event-exclusive rewards, including a Lagombi Christmas Sweater layered equipment, a Happy Hunting New Year 2025 Medal, and a Final Hunt 2024 guild card background.
Meanwhile, from January 1-5, select monsters, such as Deviljho, Zinogre and Rajang, will appear more frequently in select habits. Monster Hunter Now players will be able to slay these monsters to acquire a First Hunt 2025 guild card background, along with monster and gathering materials.
Hunt Rare Monsters to Acquire New Skills
From December 23-31, rare monsters such as Gold Rathian, Black Diablos, Coral Pukei-Pukei and more will appear in select habitats.
Defeating these monsters will reward players with Mysterious Driftstones, which can then be used to acquire armor skills such as Critical Boost and Fire Attack.
Holiday Packs on Sale
Throughout this Monster Hunter Now event, the webstore will offer various limited-time packs which provide several items like refining parts, Paintballs, potions and more.
From December 23 to January 5, players can purchase a New Year 2025 Pack which includes Potions, a Paintball, two Ultra Hunting Tickets and a Special Carving Knife.
