Now available on Prime Video, Secret Level has released its Honor of Kings episode.
Written by JT Petty and based on the short story by S.L. Huang “The Way of All Things,” this Secret Level episode introduces Yi Xing to the Honor of Kings universe.
This episode of Secret Level tells of Yi Xing’s journey, from learning the highly strategic game of Weiqi (known as Go outside China) as a child, all the way to his mastery of the game. Viewers can also see how Yi Xing will need to use his skills to win the most important match of his life and save the city of Chang’an.
The team behind Secret Level team adopted a Chinese aesthetic for the animation style and gave “The Way Of All Things” a clear identity. Not only was this designed in part to be appreciated by the community, it also provides insight into Chinese culture for those who have not previously been exposed to the title.
