Stairs In The North (from Song Of The Sirens – 2020)
GFriend take the energy down for this lighters-in-the-air singalong. This is a nice guitar-laced ballad, following many OST tropes despite not being an actual OST. It’s a bit forgettable in their larger discography, but every group needs a few songs like this to sing at the end of concerts. The production mostly stays out of the way, giving the girls plenty of space to belt out the sentimental refrains. It works well, even if this isn’t the style of GFriend track I gravitate toward.
