Just in time for the Lunar New Year, Melbourne-based SporkTank’s upcoming photography platformer Batography will come out for the PC via Steam on January 29.
A short, bite-sized game, Batography puts players in the shoes (wings?) of a curious bat setting out to take a full-fledged photo of the moon.
Along the way, players will set out to run, climb, glide and snap through an array of obstacles, all while interacting with the cheeky characters throughout its neighborhood.
The studio behind Batography, SporkTank, is primarily made up of solo developer Martin Stradling. This title was developed as a way to get his younger cousins involved in game development, created as a small side project while working on the upcoming Rita (which was chosen for the PAX Aus Indie Showcase).
Be sure to check out the official trailer for Batography below:

Martin Stradling shared the following:
“While working on Rita (a game heavily inspired by family), I thought it would be nice to get a project that was actually created with family on to Steam!
So here it is, a beautiful little side-scroller with sassy characters and some hidden extras. I hope you enjoy!”
Set to release for the PC via Steam on January 29, all those interested in Batography can wishlist the title via its official Steam page.
One can also join the conversation around Batography via its official Discord channel, and follow the official SporkTank Twitter/X social media channel.
