ZZAN (from Just One Bite Season 2 OST – 2019)
My GFriend A-Z feature comes to a close in an unlikely way — with an OST offering that doesn’t even have an official audio upload on YouTube! Fortunately, this is a very fun song to send the feature off. I don’t think anyone will be saying ZZAN is the best track in GFriend’s catalog, but its punchy, upbeat energy really encapsulates their strengths. Despite arriving in 2019, it sounds like something they would have sunk their teeth into during their debut year. In this way, it brings things full circle. I really enjoy its bounding instrumental. What it lacks in unique identity it more than makes up for with sheer verve.
