Sweden’s Disrupted is set to release its third full-length album, Stinking Death, on January 24, 2025. Known for their signature HM-2 tone—a hallmark of the classic Swedish death metal sound—and unwavering dedication to the genre’s roots, Disrupted continues to deliver a brutal homage to death metal’s golden age.
Mikael Hanni and Thomas Liljekvist, who formed the band in the Dalecarlia region in 2012, quickly carved out a niche with their debut EP, “Heavy Death,” in 2014 and the relentless follow-up, “Morbid Death,” in 2015. Their 2020 album, “Pure Death,” released amid a global pandemic, cemented their reputation as standard-bearers of the HM-2 legacy. Their upcoming album, “Stinking Death,” promises another dose of gut-ripping riffs and skull-crushing ferocity.
About their latest release, the band told Decibel, “It’s been 5 years since our last album, and we are thrilled to unleash ‘Stinking Death’ upon the world. Expect full-on HM-2 worship with songs drenched in death, blood, and decay. Wrapped in a richly immersive atmosphere, this album evolves our previous work. This lineup shift amplifies their sonic force while staying true to the HM-2-drenched style that fans have come to love.
