DayZ Update 1.27 Now Available

Update 1.27 for Bohemia Interactive’s open-world survival horror hybrid MMO DayZ is now available, bringing with it enhanced navigation, adjustments to fishing and survival, and other improvements.

DayZ Update 1.27 brings the following additions

Enhanced Navigation, New Locations & New Point of Interest on Sakhal – DayZ will now feature expanded cities, villages, and a new point of interest on Shantar Island.

Fishing & Survival Adjustments – Fishing will now take longer with incomplete tools, and food poisoning will now be linked to specific animal types.

Customizable Boat Decay System – Server owners will now be able to adjust boat decay settings to help prevent abandoned vessels from cluttering the map.

Expanded Backpack Storage & Inventory Adjustments – Additional tool slots and generalized glowstick and radio slots have been added.

Sound & Immersion Upgrades – Footstep realism, new character sound effects, and refined gunfire audio have been included.

New Particle Effects & Visual Polish – Finally, DayZ will now feature snow falling from trees, improved bleeding effects, and enhanced breath vapor.

Do note that to ensure a balanced and fair start for all DayZ players, there will be a full server wipe with the release of Update 1.27. On that same note, all maps and characters have been reset across all platforms.
