Southern California hardcore band Feed the Beast have dropped their latest album, Mercy, the band’s first for Futureless. Check out the video for “Tombs Underneath the Tombs” with us today.
Feed the Beast’s started out as high school friends who connected over music. “It was a very small school, which was even funnier how we were all into the same music,” says Nicholas Garcia, guitar. “It was just kind of a coincidence.”
The band eventually began writing music just before COVID, and shortly after the pandemic, they dropped the record Vengeance in 2022 and the EP Silhouettes in 2023. What has resulted on this most recent record is a pummeling hardcore assault perfect for the current times.
Regarding “Tombs Underneath the Tombs,” vocalist James Hutchinson says it’s about “being content with and even embracing hell, which is a fate worse than hell itself. It takes on the perspective of an incredibly narcissistic individual who believes they are smarter and stronger than everyone, including creation itself.
