Powerful Rogueteers, game-changing builds, and brutal bosses all await players with Pew Pew Games’ action-roguelike co-op shooter Terminull Brigade.
Gamers Heroes recently got some hands-on time with Terminull Brigade’s Closed Beta – see what’s to come with our preview.
Terminull Brigade Closed Beta Preview
Set in the far off year of 2060, players will set out to explore, survive, and win in the virtual world of Terminull. In this world, one can become anything, pull off amazing skills, and even net some sweet Tycho Coin in the process.
However, not all is sunshine and roses in Terminull Brigade; a virus hit, and it’s up to players to hit locales like the the Ringed City to run their own version of antivirus to make things right.
Choosing from Aurora, Blade, or Colonel in the Closed Beta period, Terminull Brigade brought plenty of thrills as we took does foes en masse. While players can only take one weapon into battle, each character packs their own set of skills.
For instance, our time with the Colonel had us improving our defense with shields up, launching missiles, and even pulling off an Ultimate that came in clutch on more than one occasion.
On that note, players will need to bring their A-game to Terminull Brigade if they’re looking to survive. Terminull Brigade’s waves of foes are relentless, but takedowns feel oh-so-satisying; doubly so when an upgrade or perk is thrown into the mix.
This doubly applies for Terminull Brigade’s heavy hitter bosses. Standing toe-to-toe with baddies like the Soul Binder means that players will have to contend with larger-than-life threats – with the health bars to match.
However, finding a rhythm to the combat, timing dodges, and getting the jump on foes in Terminull Brigade is worth it.
For those that need help, players can equip Ability Modules in Terminull Brigade’s skill tree system. There’s plenty of variables at play, giving players the chance to play their way.
Outside of the main modes, players will also be able to spend hard-earned Tycho Coins on things like cosmetics, encouraging players to get back into the fray
Terminull Brigade’s rhythm to combat and upgrades entranced us doing the Closed Beta period, giving us the chance to play our way as we cleared things out.
Terminull Brigade will release in the second half of 2025 – wishlists for the title can be made via its official Steam page.
