The first major content update for Heart Machine and Arc Games’ stylish co-op roguelike Hyper Light Breaker in Early Access, Buried Below is set to launch April 29.
As part of this update, the team has delivered major changes that have been inspired by the feedback received from Early Access players so far.
On that note, runs have been restructured to be more “roguelike” (rather than “roguelite”), placing a greater emphasis on single runs with one attempt that fully reset upon each death.
When it comes to content itself, Buried Below will bring the new Breaker “Rondo,” which comes from the same region as the recently-debuted Breaker Ravona. This Breaker also has a new SyCom, complete with two SyCom perks.
Other additions include a new Crown “Maw” (the biggest and most menacing Crown yet), two new melee weapons and new environments to explore – including caves!
