Featuring style, skill, and a little swagger (that’s the important part!), the latest character to make their way to Respawn Entertainment and Electronic Arts’ Apex Legends is Sparrow.
Gamers Heroes recently got a chance to attend a media featuring Apex Legends’ newest hero Sparrow and his feline friend – see what’s to come in Apex Legends: Prodigy with our preview.
Apex Legends: Prodigy Preview – Take Your Shot
Packing agility and style in equal measure, Apex Legends: Prodigy has Sparrow making an explosive entrance.
Learn more about this Italian Stallion Prodigy below:
Sparrow’s Passive ability “Double Jump” makes obstacle scaling easy
Meanwhile, this Tactical ability “Tracker Dart” helps reveals enemies that pass through the zone
Finally, Sparrow’s Ultimate ability “Stinger Bolt” helps wreaks havoc on multiple targets at once, complete with six consecutive energy blasts
Of course, an archer is as only as good as their weapon! On that note, Apex Legends: Prodigy brings a noticeable update to the Bocek Compound Bow: Players can now energize this fan-favorite weapon with Frag Grenades to then create Explosive Arrows.
Want to try Sparrow out for yourself? Note that, for the first time ever, Sparrow is unlocked for everyone the first two weeks of this Apex Legends season – molto bene!
From there, players will then need to complete challenges to get Sparrow permanently.
But that’s not all!
Apex Legends: Prodigy also lets players be the very best (like no one ever was) with a number of updates to Ranked. Ranked Ladder brings with it a number of rewards, while Skirmisher Legend Pathfinder has been blessed with double charge on Tactical and Ultimate abilities.
Apex Legends: Prodigy also brings with it the return of Arenas for the new generation. On that note, these provide a series of fast-paced, action-packed 3v3 battles, where round are won by eliminating the enemy team – and three rounds claiming victory.
While the classic form of Arena is back with Apex Legends: Prodigy first, additional twists will make their appearance later this season.
Finally, Apex Legends: Prodigy keeps the swagger with Zipline Zen, back with an increased damage reduction of 50%. On that note, the variable cooldown of 15-30s has returned for Pathfinder’s Tactical, the Grapple Hook.
Two new upgrades make Pathfinder a double threat with a Double Ultimate Charge, plus a Double Tactical Charge players can trade for the Variable Grapple cooldown.
Apex Legends is currently available for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via the EA app and Steam.
