Isometric Narrative Mystery Adventure Pera Coda Announced

Set in a surreal, looping version of Istanbul, the narrative-focused studio Falan has announced their new isometric mystery adventure Pera Coda.

Pera Coda sets out to blend together the psychological depth of Disco Elysium, the exploration-driven mystery of Outer Wilds, and the looping puzzle mechanics of 12 Minutes.

On that note, this title will have players assuming the role of the attorney Deniz, who finds himself trapped in a subconscious state between life and death. In this new world, he sets out to become both the judge and defendant in the reckoning of his own soul.

Ahmet Kazanci, Pera Coda’s Art Director, said the following:

“This is both a love letter to our city and a universal human story about guilt, regret, and the search for peace.

[The game is] rooted in a surreal reimagining of Istanbul, real locations, rich with local nuance and emotional texture that are rarely seen in games. Istanbul becomes both a stage and a mirror, where East meets West, chaos meets calm, and each district reflects a piece of your fragmented self.”
