Track Premiere: Aleister Cowboy – “Liquefied Bodies Scraped From A Tub”

Denver weirdo beatdown band Aleister Cowboy are back with their third EP, Neolithic Blood Ritesout August 22 You can hear the debut track from the EP, “Liquefied Bodies Scarped From a Tub,” with us first.

“The recording of our third EP, Neolithic Blood Rites, was as focused and intentional as it was comfortable and laid back,” the band say about the EP. “Having returned to Like Minded Company once again for tracking, our shared vision is more cohesive and apparent than ever, leading to a collection of sonic decompositions that we are incredibly proud of.

“The idea of Neolithic as a band came to us as a natural evolution and progression from the widely known ‘caveman’ death metal. Much like the step from the Paleolithic into the Neolithic, we are approaching something fundamentally similar, just with sharper tools and more understanding of each other. As far as the lyrical content, it’s more-so the opposite, shedding light on the most primal, seemingly devolved instincts that feel more and more powerful with each minute as the human experience only complicates and becomes more difficult, leaving us with nothing but an echo of advanced society, descending into one where violence begets power, and power is all. Lumbering towards the grave like a rotten husk not long for this world, Neolithic Blood Rites concludes with the longest dirge on the EP, ‘Pools Of Ancient Dead,’ a funeral procession in exaltation for both the release of material form into the creation of something new.

“This release marks not only progression for the band artistically, but for us personally. In an increasingly uncertain world, being able to share this connection with the band as well as everyone who listens, and communicate our experience through these recordings is integral to pushing forward.”
