Blast Worship: Agonized

Where they from?
Sandakn, Malaysia. Week 1 NFL picks: I like the Giants getting 6.5 against the Commanders, The Dolphins to win outright against the Colts and Vikings giving a point and half against Bears. I will be keeping track of my picks all season long to see how wrong I am.

Why the hype?
This band absolutely blew my mind with their 2014 debut Consumed, which featured some absolutely blood-soaked riffing that was memorable enough to stay with me for the next eleven years. So, I was pleasantly surprised to see the group was still active and producing quality grindcore all these years later. There’s something just so tenacious and nasty about Pacific belt grind, all of it is just so blown out and disgusting, sounds like it was recorded in a tin shed next to a bomb testing site on some beach in Hell somewhere.

Latest Release?
Absence of Truth, self-released. The production has definitely picked up big time since 2014, particularly in the drum department, but worry not, for the fury is still there. Like I said, everything here is very intense and blown out, but in that good kind of way. The guitars weave tangled webs of venom while the snare drum grinds your face into oblivion. Fun for the whole family indeed.
