Track Premiere: Bent Sea – “A Scopic Radiance”

All-star grindforce Bent Sea are officially drop their debut LP The Dormant Ruin this Friday via Give Praise Records. They’re sharing “A Scopic Radiance” ahead of the album with us today.

Led by drummer/guitarist/songwriter Dirk Verbeuren (Megadeth) alongside Sven de Caluwé (Aborted) on vocals and Shane Embury (Napalm Death) on bass, this album has been 14 years in the making. Combining death metal and grindcore with industrial dissonance, The Dormant Ruin’s long gestation has yielded stunning results

Produced by Daniel Bergstrand (Meshuggah, Dark Funeral) and featuring guest appearances by Kevin Sharp (Venomous Concept, ex-Brutal Truth), John Cooke (Venomous Concept, Napalm Death) and Sylvain Coudret (Soilwork, Scarve).

Verbeuren says of the album, “Lyrically, Bent Sea addresses human and social issues, specifically those surrounding humanity’s relentless destruction of the planet we call home. We’re not here to preach, but we’re certainly not afraid of our opinions.”
