Done in partnership with Charles Schwab, the first-ever, mass-participation Catan experience on Twitch is kicking off with Twitch Plays Catan September 9.
Twitch Plays Catan will have a number of players competing head-to-head in a custom digital version of the game, streamed live on Twitch.tv.
Viewers will play a major role, guiding their favorite streamers’ choices in real-time via chat – be careful if you trade that sheep for wheat…
When it comes to Twitch Plays Catan participants, fans can expect to see Sacriel, ChrissyOfficial, Lunity, DanGheesling, KhleoThomas, Ciarratonin, BonsaiBroz and even NBA star Aaron Nesmith!
Rounds 1 & 2 of Twitch Plays Catan will happen September 9, between 6-10pm ET. Meanwhile, the Finals will be held September 10 between 6-8pm ET.
Michael Iachini, head of manager research at the Schwab Center for Financial Research, said the following:
“I think a lot of investors out there will be interested. And of course, I think a ton of gamers will check out this event when it comes up.”
