Blast Worship: Bone Fetish

Where they from?
Canada. On Thursday night, the Miami held on to beat the spread, and the Indy very easily covered the three points they were favored by. Tonight is the Detroit/Baltimore game so we will have to wait and see if I can go a perfect 3-0 this week (took Detroit plus 6). My picks for this week are: Minnesota to cover the 1.5 points they are favored by against Pittsburgh in London, New Orleans +16.5 (holy shit) against Buffalo and, ugh, the New York Jets to win outright against the Dolphins in Miami. Total record: 4-4 with one TBD.

Why the hype?
Do you like early pathological goregrind? Do you even know what that means? WHY ARE YOU READING THIS IF YOU DON’T? Bone Fetish are a one-man grind project from Canada that don’t really sound like a one-man project, which is a good thing! Fan of early Carcass and Regurgitate will get a big kick out of this. There’s also a heaping helpful of raw death metal influence in the same vein as Mortician and uh… other bands that sound like Mortician? This all feels very well thought out and excellently executed in a way that should excite your innards and bowels.

Latest Release?
Bone Fetish, out now on Sentient Ruin Laboratories. So apparently this is a compilation of the band’s early demos with a few brand spanking new songs to top it all off. Each grouping of songs has a nice character ark to it that leads the listener on a journey, one that always ends with a chainsaw spilling out their guts. Like I said previously, none of this feels amateurish in the slightest sense and instead provides a bounty of memorable riffs. This is one to keep your eye on, this band (guy in Canada) has the potential to go very far. Unlike the New York Jets cornerback situation!
