Full Album Stream: Armoured Knight –The Quest For the Sacred Melody

We’re old enough to remember when a metal band from France or Spain seemed exotic. Canada, only slightly less so. (The Anvil hype of the early ’80s was something to behold…) Now the whole fucking world is the “metal scene.” So let us introduce you to speed metal purveyors Armoured Knight, from Chile’s Santiago area. Other than their accented English, you’d never be able to tell these dudes—Cristian Léon (guitar), Mario Vera (drums), Cristhoper Falk (bass), and José Tapia (vocals)—from, say, NWOBHM latecomers Tokyo Blade or early Helloween. The original incarnation of the band (dating back to 2009) featured a female vocalist, but this new incarnation, reformed in 2024, is a different beast and The Quest For the Sacred Melody is their full-length debut.

The Quest For the Sacred Melody is set for release on vinyl, CD and digitally on October 17, via Dying Victims Productions. Place your preorder here or here.

The band had this to say about its long-awaited debut:

“We’ve been working on this record for quite some time, and we finally feel we’ve captured the sound we were seeking. It keeps that heavy metal spirit that first made us start the band, yet it feels authentic, direct, and unmistakably ours. We’re genuinely thrilled about it. it’s packed with riffs and moments that truly move us. It holds on to our original essence while bringing a fresher energy; it’s a true reflection of who we are today, both as a band and as musicians.”
