Video Premiere: Finality – ‘Haunted’

Midwest heavy metal sextet Finality break two years of silence with “Haunted,” a brand new and deeply personal single that comes two years after the release of their last album, Technocracy. Led by galloping guitars and vocalist Tony Asta’s soaring voice, the new salvo harkens back to classic heavy metal with a heavy dose of modern production.

As Finality explain, “Haunted” isn’t just a new song for the band. It’s a tribute and connection to their late friend.

“The music for ‘Haunted’ traces back to 2009, written by friend and former bandmate, Shaun Carroll. After Shaun’s passing in 2018, Joe [Cady, guitar] made a vow to finish and release every piece of his unfinished music. This track is the last one—completing that promise and honoring his memory.

“Lyrically and visually, ‘Haunted’ is not a tale of ghosts, but of the spirits that live quietly within us—the echoes of every choice, every doubt, every whisper of conscience. It drifts between two worlds: one steeped in arrogance, despair and the slow decay of meaning… the other reaching toward courage, redemption, and the fragile calm of peace. In that space between shadow and light, ‘Haunted’ breathes—a reflection of the soul’s endless struggle to find itself.”
