We all know what day it is, and the Texas-based death metal outfit Calcraft is here to help us celebrate! The band has a new album, Reborn Through Torture, coming out via Lifeforce Records on November 21, and Decibel is proud to present the video for “Perpetually Stabbed.” The song blasts and explodes through your speakers, recalling bands like Bloodbath, Vader and Vomitory while delivering its own unique lesson in violence.
According to the band:
“Calcraft takes it’s lyrical inspiration from Giallo horror and classic American slasher films. This is not a brand new frontier for American death metal but more of a continuation of it’s honored tradition. Comparable to the tropes horror audiences are accustomed to when seeing a new film at the cinema. “Perpetually Stabbed” could be seen as the apex of this thematic homage of horror for the album; it’s the band at it’s most visceral.”
