Full Album Stream: Speedclaw – “Stardust”

It’s been eight years since Croatian heavy metal revivalists Speedclaw released their last EP, Beast in the Mist, but they’re ringing in their 10th year of existence with their first full-length, Stardust. Slated for release later this week, Decibel partnered with the band for an exclusive stream of the record.

The songs on Stardust are reminiscent of a time gone by, when the differences between heavy metal and hard rock were less pronounced. There’s a loose feeling to the way Speedclaw play, from the “Woo!” on “Allnighter” to the flashy fretwork of “Fly High” and the almost speed metal found on “White Town Rider.”

According to the band, Stardust was inspired by people they know and their real-life experiences.

“This album is a collection of songs inspired by real life events, people and mistakes they made along their way,” Speedclaw tell Decibel. “A warning to all those looking at the sky, not to get blinded by the starlight and bound in Stardust.”

You can listen to Stardust below. The album is out November 21 on Dying Victims Productions.
