The Game Awards 2025 this past Thursday was a roaring success, with approximately 171 million global livestreams – the most-watched TGA in history!
Held December 11 at Los Angeles’ storied Peacock Theater by Industry Professional Geoff Keighley, The Game Awards 2025 delivered more than 171 million live streams across digital networks like YouTube, Twitch, Steam, TikTok Live, Twitter/X, Kick, Facebook, and Instagram Live.
On a global scale, The Game Awards 2025 achieved its biggest ever results, with live distribution in China on Bilbili, Huya, Weibo, WeChat, Douyin, Zhihu, DouYu, Baidu, TapTap, XiaoHongShu, QQ, Kuishou, YouKu, RED, HeyBox; in South Korea or CHZZK and Soop, and NicoNico in Japan.
Sandfall Interactive and Kepler Interactive’s reactive turn-based RPGClair Obscur: Expedition 33 received top honors at The Game Awards 2025.
Not only was it a 2025 Game of the Year award recipient, it also won awards for Best Game Direction, Best Narrative, Best Art Direction, Best Score and Music, Best Performance, Best Independent Game, Best Debut Indie Game, and Best RPG.
A number of celebrities also made their appearance at The Game Awards 2025, including Dan Houser, David Harbour, Elijah Wright, Felicia Day, Gemma Chan, J.J. Abrams, Jeffrey Wright, Lenny Kravitz, Maggie Robertson, Megan Everett, Mike Booth, Milla Jovovich, Miss Piggy, Neil Newbon, Nicolas Doucet, Rahul Kohli, Rebecca Ford, Rowlf, Todd Howard, and Tricia Helfe.
