EP Premiere: Salt Divination – The Boiled Sorceress

No one like Mondays, so you might as well start your week off on the right foot, or in this case, the hot foot, with the debut EP from Salt Divination. The Boiled Sorceress is blistering three-track face-wrecker that is largely inspired by late ’90s/early 2000s metallic hardcore (think Zao, Converge, most things on Solid State records before they went to shit) that is run through a coarse black metal filter.

This Florida-based solo project stewarded by the mysterious entity known as M Thomas somehow managed to land Converge master blaster Ben Koller to provide session drums, which provides a crucial foundation amidst the controlled chaos.

Look, if last week was any indicator of future performance, this week is gonna suck too, so might as well delay it for another 10 minutes and stream this little ripper below.
