Viserion‘s forthcoming atmospheric album, Fire and Blood, is set to manifest in this realm on January 16. You can stream it here before the rest of the world hears it.
“We in Viserion are excited to release our latest album, Fire and Blood,” the band say about the record. “Our first full-length release with the current lineup, this album represents an important step for Viserion as we combine our various musical voices into a powerful and dynamic sound. Lyrically and thematically, this album explores the Targaryen dynasty of George RR Martin’s A Song Of Ice And Fire book series, reflecting elements of madness, war, dragonfire and chaos.”
“Our concept for this album was inspired by George R.R. Martin’s Game of Thrones world. It particularly focuses on the Targaryen dynasty hence the title being their house words: Fire and Blood.” The band explain further, “This particular song focuses on the black magic rituals that the Targaryen family was rumored to use in order to control dragons.”
