Milwaukee, Wisconsin’s oldest death metal outfit Viogression released their fourth album, Thaumaturgic Veil, last year but the midwest outfit aren’t ready to let the hype die that quickly. They’re back today with a new video for “Light Harvester,” the final song on the album. The moody video, which you can see below, matches the tone presented in the music.
Speaking about the new video, Viogression add:
“As the Sun swells toward its fiery, crimson end, ancient and unseen entities emerge from the void—descending in silent, terrifying grace to harvest the very essence of fading mortal life. Picture it: luminous tendrils tearing glowing souls free amid waves of ethereal decay. This visceral, otherworldly vision powers ‘Light Harvester,’ the crushing, atmospheric closer on our fourth full-length album, Thaumaturgic Veil.
“Late last summer, we took over a soundstage and brought this nightmare to life in the official music video for ‘Light Harvester.’ The production keeps it raw and direct—mirroring the track’s profound cosmic horror while spotlighting Viogression’s revamped lineup: Lief Larson and Johnathon Ibarra on guitars and Elijah White on drums. We are thrilled to release the official music video for ‘Light Harvester.’
“We hope it delivers the same raw intensity, skin-crawling dread, and haunting atmosphere that define the track. We’re grateful for your support of Viogression. It’s a genuine honor to share this milestone with you.”
Thaumaturgic Veil is out now.
