Designed as a major systems overhaul to Hotel Barcelona, “Under New Management” serves as a decisive gameplay evolution for Hidetaka “SWERY” Suehiro and Goichi “SUDA51” Suda’s horror roguelite.
Providing a full hotel upgrade, Hotel Barcelona “Under New Management” fully realizes this winner of nine victories at the 2025 NYX Game Awards.
On that note, Hotel Barcelona “Under New Management” features such improvements as faster combat and improved responsiveness, redesigned parry and dodge systems, reduced stamina friction, and rebalanced enemies and bosses.
This update also brings with it five free crossover skins – scope them out below:
Demonschool Faye – A cult indie crossover presence inside the nightmare hotel
Slitterhead Alex – A horror infused guest skin with a sharp silhouette in combat
Slitterhead Julee – A second Slitterhead crossover that stands out immediately in motion
Promise Mascot Agency Pinky – A surreal mascot dropped into violent horror for striking contrast
Promise Mascot Agency Michi – A companion mascot skin that heightens the absurdity of the setting
