If you’re in the mood for some high-level blackened-death metal drama, Lithuania’s Sisyphean has a new song and video for you. Decibel is pleased to present “In Divergence,” from the band’s upcoming album, Divergence. The song carries the heavy weight of double-kicks and tremolo picking grandeur, but also delivers the heavy grooves and off-kilter riff-work to keep things exciting. Additionally, the video features the band proudly performing the song, no frills and no nonsense, just pure metallic ferocity.
According to the band:
“The lyrics provide depth that many lyricists would envy. Being aimed at manipulative personalities and the damage their toxicity causes. Manipulation, narcissism and other similar physic disorders are a huge problem in modern society and parts of them are extremely terrifying but hidden in the darkest parts of the human mind. How can it be exposed, how shall it be revenged and how can we learn from it?”
Check out the video for “In Divergence” below. Divergence comes out on April 3 via Edged Circle Productions. You can find preorder information at the label’s Bandcamp page.
