Crimson Desert’s approach to player storage is a unique one, and one that may feel out of place compared to modern games. In this guide, we explain how to get more storage so you can carry more items.
Firstly, let’s address the elephant in the room. There is only personal storage in Crimson Desert at this time. The developers have confirmed more traditional storage options will become available with a player housing update but at release, your character’s inventory is the only storage space you have.
The vast majority of additional inventory comes from two locations: shops and quests. Most shops sell at least a single bag. This is a unique item that, once purchased, will not be replenished like other shop goods.
Commissions and Requests, of which there are hundreds, are the best way to increase your storage quickly. Check your Journal and the quests under Commissions and Requests. It lists them all there. Look for the ones that offer bags as rewards and complete those. They will expand your inventory further.
There is a Supply Chest at the Howling Hill Greymane camp. While you cannot store items in this directly, it does hold items indefinitely. This means rewards from Dispatch missions and clearing out hostile strongholds can be saved here and only taken out when needed.
We have seen some creators and websites suggesting to sell items to NPC’s and use the repurchase option as additional storage. We do not recommend doing this. NPC’s repurchase option is tied to a reset, so every few in-game days, the items will vanish, and they are not retrievable.
