Featuring explosive battles across land and sea, Psychedelic Games has secured a $3.5 million dollar funding round by KRAFTON / PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS, FlyQuest, and Arbitrum Gaming Ventures for their pirate-themed 4v4 PVP adventure Golden Tides.
Putting wind in Psychedelic Games’ sails (so to speak), this $3.5 million dollar funding round enables the continued development – and the upcoming launch – of Golden Tides.
The first title from Psychedelic Games, the Golden Sails team is bringing together a dream team of developers with previous experience on League of Legends, Smite, Fortnite, PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS, Call of Duty: Warzone, and ARK: Survival Evolved.
Devin Richman, CEO at Psychedelic Games, said the following:
“The MOBA genre created some of the most beloved competitive games of the past fifteen years, but the formula has grown stale.
Golden Tides asks what a MOBA looks like when you strip away the constraints and rebuild around freedom, exploration, and the chaos of naval combat.
This funding lets us bring that vision to the players, and we’re grateful for partners who see the same opportunity we do.”
