Track Premiere: Boneripper – “Damnation”

Dutch hardcore band Boneripper are teed up to release their new album, Radiant in Ruin, in late June but they’re giving away an early listen in the form of “Damnation,” the first single. Peeling away a bit of the metallic layer of their debut EP, Vengeance & Forgiveness, allows Boneripper to focus more on anthemic songwriting and barebones hardcore. On “Damnation,” there’s a bit of a melodic hardcore slant—recalling Comeback Kid or Modern Life is War—mixed with heavier breakdowns. The song features a guest vocal appearance from Rene of Dutch hardcore band LIES!

“‘Damnation’ is about the slow destruction of our world by our own hands,” Boneripper explain of the new song. “It reflects on war, greed, pollution and the hatred we keep passing on to the next generation. While the powerful protect their wealth and the rest look away, the damage keeps growing.

“This song is a raw confrontation with humanity’s role in its own collapse—and the price we will all have to pay.”

You can stream “Damnation” below and follow Boneripper on Bandcamp for updates on the album.
