The 2026 development roadmap for PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS has been released, highlighting destructible terrain, a new roguelite mode, and even a new co-op heist collaboration with Starbreeze’s PAYDAY.
Featuring deeper worlds, bold new modes, and evolved gunplay, scope out the highlights below:
Destructible Terrain is set to arrive next month on Erangel, allowing players to reshape the battlefield. Miramar is also set to introduce Secret Rooms for new layers of exploration and reward, while Rondo updates will further enhance looting efficiency and route planning.
Tapping into tactics, Interactive Smoke will behave as a physical entity, one that is influenced by environmental factors like wind and explosions
Gunplay in PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS will be refined through a new meta rotation system, one where dominant weapon classes rotate seasonally and updates delivered every four months.
PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS’ Ranked mode will feature a more intuitive Ranking Points system that better reflects player performance.
Launching in April, Xeno Point serves as a co-op roguelite looter-shooter that blends progression systems with strategic gameplay.
Finally, KRAFTON will unveil PAYDAY: a co-op heist mode done in collaboration with Starbreeze.
