Full Album Stream: Sweat –Tear it on Down

A riddle for you: What has a bunch of arms and legs and features members of Graf Orlock, Dangers, Dogteeth and Ghostlimb? That would be LA hardcore punk ’n rollers Sweat, who are about to release their third full-length, Tear it on Down. We’re offering a complimentary peek at said ripper, which features 11 sweaty (sorry) tracks of incendiary, angry and riff-heavy punk rock performed by Tuna Tardugno (vocals), Anthony Rivera (drums), Justin Smith (guitars/vocals) and Kevin Conway (bass).

Tear it on Down was recorded live to tape July 2025 at the Atomic Garden, Oakland, CA. It was tracked, mixed and mastered by Jack Shirley. It’s set for release on vinyl and digitally via Vitriol Records on April 3. Place your preorder here (digital) or here (vinyl).

Vocalist Tuna Tardugno had this to say about Sweat’s new full-length:

“As a whole, this record addresses coming to terms with a world that is seemingly on its last leg and what feels like a firsthand view of ensuing collapse. It is about resilience, integrity, exhaustion and grief against the backdrop of an increasingly uncertain future and a general human decorum gone to shit, all awash in a wave of increasing brutality from the prevailing order. Although pessimistic, it counters that grief by rejecting those new norms and champions self-reliance and an understanding that we all have to sort this out ourselves. Ultimately, it settles on a hesitant hope that there is something worth pushing for and in that aggrieved pushing, an intrinsic value that ties us all together.

TLDR: Shit sucks, record rips, do something.”
