Ready to get your face ripped off? Extreme thrashers Vicious Blade have just the thing for you: Relentless Force, their first proper full-length album. Formed in Pittsburgh by Castrator frontwoman Clarissa Badini, Vicious Blade released their first EP in 2020 and hit the ground running; four years into their existence, they’re sharp as a knife and you can hear it below.
Coming in at a tight nine songs, Relentless Force takes classic thrash structures and brings them to their logical extreme. Guitarists Jeff Ellsworth and Erik Wynn have a nice lead/rhythm relationship, Ellsworth handling the lead duties, while bassist Justin Pelissero and drummer Kevin Parent hold the rhythm section down. Badini is savage in her vocal delivery, adding extra barbs to the already sharp delivery from her bandmates.
“Relentless Force is a pummeling culmination of the band’s music compilations thus far,” Vicious Blade tell Decibel. “We are so proud of this debut! This album is the unyielding resilience against the external powers in life that try to keep us down. We hope this album inspires you to take on your day, and vanquish any bullshit that you might face.”
