Pokémon GO Halloween Celebrations Kicking Off October 22

Trainers with an affinity for the spooky, get ready; Pokémon GO’s Halloween Celebrations will kick off October 22.

Running from October 22 at 10am PT to October 28 at 10pm local time, players can look forward to the following updates in Pokémon GO during this time:

Morpeko, the Two-Sided Pokémon, changes up the scene as the first Pokémon able to change forms in battle each time it uses a Charged Attack

Dynamax Gastly in Max Battles!

Spooky Wild Encounters with Pokémon including Zubat, Spinarak, Murkrow and more appearing more frequently in the wild

New Themed Decor, Paid and Free Timed Research, Raids and more

When in Fully Belly Mode, Morpeko can use Aura Wheel (Electric) and when in Hangry Mode can use Aura Wheel (Dark)

The Gas Pokémon will appear in one-star battles alongside Grookey, Scorbunny and Sobble

Event Bonuses

2× Candy for catching Pokémon.

Increased chance for Trainers level 31 and up to receive Candy XL for successfully catching Pokémon with Nice Throws or better.

Increased chance to encounter Shiny Umbreon in raids and Shiny Zorua in the wild.
