Capcom Fighting Collection 2 Preview – Keep Rockin’ Baby
Power Stone 2
A four-player party game, Power Stone 2 is one of those titles just begging to be played with friends.
The colorful cast and crew that put the original Power Stone on the map are back and more powerful than ever (with some new faces in the mix!), but the worlds of Power Stone 2 themselves have also gotten a noticeable glow up.
Skydiving and sea battles are exciting enough as it is, but become 10x as impressive when throwing down with rotund chefs-turned-dinosaurs.
With its hyperkinetic energy, there’s never a dull moment in Power Stone 2 as players set out to escape the castle.
And that’s just the way we like it.
Power Stone 2 is still a gem in the multiplayer party scene – doubly so with the improvements Capcom Fighting Collection 2 throws into the mix.
Online Play is a big draw (complete with Casual, Ranked, and High Score Challenges), but those looking to refine their Power Stone 2 skills can also quick save if flying solo.
Capcom vs. SNK: Millennium Fight 2000 Pro
Before Terry Bogard and Mai Shiranui made their way to Street Fighter 6, they threw down with Ryu and Ken in Capcom vs. SNK: Millennium Fight 2000 Pro, the first installment of the Capcom vs. SNK crossover series.
What makes this title so unique is that players can choose how they want to play with its Groove system and Ratio system.
Feel like stepping in SNK’s footsteps? There’s a Groove for that, pulling elements from titles like The King of Fighters. More loyal to the house of Capcom? There’s a Groove that’ll make World Warriors feel right at home.
The same uniqueness applies to Capcom vs. SNK: Millennium Fight 2000 Pro’s Ratio System. Players are given a set amount of Ratio points, and one can choose how powerful – or how many – characters one would like to take into battle.
We won’t judge if you want Dan Hibiki on your team…
Plasma Sword: Nightmare of Bilstein
Featuring a protagonist with a sword made of plasma (as one would expect!), Plasma Sword: Nightmare of Bilstein provides 3D fighting action complete with sidesteps that make full use of that extra dimension.
What makes this fighter unique is that Capcom flair that’s truly one of a kind. Plasma Sword: Nightmare of Bilstein features Super Moves (dubbed Plasma Strikes), along with Plasma Fields that can box players in. Trying to get on the offensive? One can also counter to get ahead of their opponents.
Of course, the speed Capcom is known for is alive as well here, complete with dashes and combos a-plenty.
A powerful collection of fighters, Capcom Fighting Collection 2 is shaping up to celebrate some of the studio’s finest moments in the space.
Capcom Fighting Collection 2 will come out for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and the PC via Steam on May 16.
Pre-orders for Capcom Fighting Collection 2 can be done via the official website; note that a pre-order soundtrack will also be available!
