Where To Find Recoats In Clair Obscur: Expedition 33

Recoats are an invaluable resource as it allows the player to reset a character’s entire skill tree, giving players the opportunity to try new and exciting builds. In this guide, we’ll tell you where to find each of the Recoats we discovered on our journey.

Act 1 Recoats

Eveque Boss (Spring Meadows)

Defeating the final boss in the Spring Meadows map unlocks this Recoat

The first Recoat of the game is reward for defeating the boss Eveque with Gustave and Lune in Act 1. You cannot miss this boss fight,

Flying Waters Recoat

Just to the left of the entrance shown above

In the X. When you find the ship of the previous Expedition and the anchor that is not man made. There is a jar-like entrance to a cavern. Just before you enter, explore a small ledge to the left to find this Recoat.

Gestral Village Recoat

You can purchase a Recoat for 10,000 at the Merchant in Gestral Village. There is a second Recoat you can purchase from the back alley store in Gestra Village, after you defeat the Gestral’s that jump you there.

On the stairs to the right

Near the casino entrance in Gestral Village, it sits atop a small set of stairs.

Esquie’s Nest

Drop down off the first bridge, to the left hand side

In the first large room of Esquie’s Nest, if you drop down, there will be a Petank in the water. Chase him to his pedestal, so you are able to attack him, then defeat it to get the Recoat.

Stone Wave Cliffs Farm

Defeat the Petank in Stone Wave Cliffs, at the farm. This one is different to the others. It will take reduced damage if one of the Nekron’s it summons for protection is still alive.

Stone Wave Cliffs Cave

From the main cavern room in Stone Wave Cliffs cave, take the rope down. You’ll find a Recoat in the room with the boss

Stone Wave Cliffs End

Take a left after you climb up through the destroyed house

Toward the end of Stone Wave Cliffs, when Esquie says something scary is ahead, don’t head straight down that path, take a left just before the flag.

Follow that area through until you reach the ruined house. As you get to the top of the ruined house, take a left.

Act II Verso Recoats

Forgotten Battlefield #1

Take a left when you enter the battlefields and follow the path to the end

When you enter the main area of the Forgotten Battlefields, take a left and follow the path to the end.

Forgotten Battlefield #2

Defeat the Petank in this zone

Forgotten Battlefield #3

Purchase from the Gestral merchant near the end of the Forgotten Battlefield

Monoco’s Station #1

Defeat Monoco (story boss) in Monoco’s Station

Monoco’s Station #2

After defeating Monoco, speak to the Grateful Grandis near the entrance to the treacherous mountains.

Old Lumiere #1

You can purchase one from the merchant at Old Lumiere

Old Lumiere #2

Defeat a boss in Old Lumiere. It cannot be missed, it’s a story boss. Avoiding name for spoilers.

Visage Island

Buy from the merchant at Visage Island

Sirene

One can be purchased from the trader in Sirene.

Sirene #2

Defeat the Petank in this area

Inside Monolith
