Pokemon GO Shadow Raids and Max Battles Can Soon Be Joined Remotely

In the days ahead, Pokémon GO Trainers will now have the ability to join Shadow Raids and Max Battles remotely using Remote Raid Passes!

Shadow Raid Changes Beginning May 13

Coinciding with the “Crown Clash: Taken Over” event kicking off May 13, Shadow Raids in Pokemon Go will now become remotely accessible using a Remote Raid Pass. 

As an added bonus, this ability will remain in effect after the event ends!

Max Battle Updates Beginning May 19

Coinciding with “Gigantamax Machamp Max Battle Day” May 19, Pokemon GO Trainers can now join Max Battles remotely using a Remote Raid Pass and Max Particles for the first time ever. 

Note that this ability will also remain in effect after the event ends! In addition, all Pokemon GO players that participate in Max Battles in person can earn themselves additional Premier Balls and XP. 

More Passes and Particles in Pokemon Go

Both Max Particle and Remote Raid limits are set to be increased in Pokemon GO. On that note, the Daily Remote Raid limit will increase from five to 10, and the Max Particles limit will increase from 1,000 to 1,500.

These maximums may increase during special events, including May 24, where the Remote Raid limit will temporarily increase to 20.
