Nighthaven
Featuring haunting woods, mighty castles, and stories of monstrous creatures, New World: Aeternum’s land of Nighthaven is shrouded in mystery.
Players will be able to discover the secrets hidden in the shadows of its ruins and catacombs.
New Story: The Tear of Gaea
Set after the events of Elysian Wilds, this new story kicks off with Morgaine’s Tear going missing.
New World: Aeternum players will need to search through ageless ruins as they set out to find this missing artifact, all while uncovering the truth.
New Game Mode: Catacombs
Up to three players will now be able to explore the depths of a procedurally generated dungeon.
From there, players can battle across a wide variety of enemies and bosses, gaining unique mode-specific power-ups, collecting cursed resources and currency, and racing to the exit to cleanse their treasures before time runs out.
Note that difficulty starts at moderate, with both challenge and reward increasing significantly every time a boss is defeated.
New Raid: Isle of Night
A new 10-person end game raid, Isle of Night is set in a once magnificent kingdom whose inhabitants have now fallen Lost.
Featuring a similar length and format to Hive of Gorgons, Isle of Night features three new bosses and multiple new enemy types, light puzzles, and set piece encounters.
This raid will be some of the hardest content in Season 10, tasking New World: Aeternum players with gearing up and coordinating to succeed.
Overhauled Endgame Progression
Nighthaven brings a number of game-wide changes to New World: Aeternum’s systems, progression, gearing, and rewards.
These changes were made with the goal to form a connective tissue, one that motivates a variety of play in endgame activities.
These changes were also made to enable players to customize their loadouts in ways never done before, thereby discovering unique and powerful combinations of equipment.
New OPR Map: The Tower
Finally, The Tower is 20v20 battlefield where players can fight across three vertical layers of dark grandeur, ranging from the commanding castle heights to the corrupted depths below.
The Tower pays home to jump pads, strategic pathways, three capture points, and underground passages.
