3D Action Platformer Foldy’s OS Quest Demo Now Available

A colorful computerized world awaits with the new demo for Vacation Home’s action-packed 3D platforming adventure Foldy’s OS Quest on Steam.

Foldy’s OS Quest will task players with running, jumping, zipping, surfing, and stomping their way through the magical world of personal computing as they set out to take down the virus before it breaks through the Firewall!

Solo developer Chris Trenary shared the following:

“Foldy’s OS Quest was inspired by my own enduring love for both the operating systems and 3D platformers of the late 90’s and early 2000’s.

As someone who grew up with a PS1 plugged into the living room TV, and a boxy family computer I had to wait my turn to surf the web on, I have a great affinity for that era of technology and entertainment, and I hoped to recapture some of the magic of that time within this game. 

It’s been a thrill to see the ways playtesters have reacted to finding elements they recognize integrated into the level design, and their excited questions about what might be coming in subsequent stages have reassured me that I’m on the right track!

Furthermore, seeing young kids pick the game up and not be able to put it down has been the most heartwarming experience of my career, and reminds me why I’ve always wanted to make games in the first place. 

I sincerely hope players of all backgrounds are able to have fun with Foldy, whether they’re picking up a controller for the first time, or they’re a product of the era the game owes its identity to, like me.”
