Known for their work on The Rogue Prince of Persia and multiple Dead Cells DLC, the development team at Evil Empire will take over the development of Brotato.
Evil Empire will work under the watchful eyes of original Brotato developer Blobfish Games, who in turn will now fully focus on making brand-new games.
The Evil Empire team was founded by ex-Motion Twin developers, and was in fact originally created for this specific type of game development work.
The team is all too eager to support and work with energized, enthusiastic communities of games (just check their resume!) to bring fresh and inspired content to our favorite games.
Thomas Gervraud, Blobfish CEO and founder, said the following:
“I’m excited to see how the game evolves under the direction of such a talented team and what fresh perspectives they’ll bring to the table.
Above all, though, I’m just eager to dive back in and have fun playing Brotato again.”
On that note, Brotato will get its first full update next month – a new mob dubbed “The Gobbler.”
One can catch up on the finer details regarding the future of Brotato via its official Steam post.
