Brutal Cyberpunk Y2K FPS SPRAWL zero Revealed

Inspired by the golden era of 2000s console shooters, Y2K is back with Maeth and Kwalee’s high-intensity cyberpunk FPS SPRAWL zero.

IT’S TIME!

Today we are proud to announce the next chapter in our universe: SPRAWL zero.

Inspired by classics like Bungie’s Halo and Marathon, as well as Half Life 2 and anime from the era, this is our love letter to the golden years of FPS.

Set in a brutal cyberpunk city that is collapsing under military rule and cult fanaticism, speed is on players’ side in SPRAWL zero as players outsmart and outmaneuver while going on the offensive with an arsenal of over 40 weapons.

Taking control of cybernetically enhanced supersoldier FIVE, players can also utilize a Gravity Shield, tap into precise Bullet-Time, and use a gravity-based combat system consisting of Gravity Gloves, Gravity Shield, and Rushdown mechanics.

Carlos Lizarraga, Studio Head at Maeth, said the following:

“SPRAWL zero is the culmination of everything I love about video games and a love letter to Y2K culture.

I grew up playing incredible, genre defining shooters in the early 2000s, like Half-Life 2, Halo, and F.E.A.R. Giants defined by immersive settings and gameplay that captured my imagination.

That specific era of gaming feels lost to time, and I want everyone who plays SPRAWL zero to experience that same sense of wonder I felt back then.”

SPRAWL zero will release for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.

SPRAWL is a fully indie cyberpunk FPS, a passion project developed by two people. We built this out of love for so many giants in the genre, and for the love of games as a whole! #screenshotsaturday pic.twitter.com/848RNYCPUF
