Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection Preview – Electrifying!
When it comes to the Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection, players will be able to jump into the trilogy of games and its variants – seven games in all. Whether one chooses the lightspeed power of Black Ace or the blazing Red Joker, all entries from 2006-2008 are present and accounted for.
New to the Mega Man Star Force series?
These titles change up the platforming Mega Man formula by instead going in an isometric RPG-style direction.
In each title, players will make use of Battle Cards in each bout. Players can mix and match cards, tapping into different classes and trusting their heart in the cards. One can also upgrade cards along the way.
This leads to a unique system, where one seeks out the best Battle Cards for one’s deck to get a strategic edge. Throw in some rare cards, and these titles have a nice collectible element that is truly addicting.
Seriously, there are a lot of cards throughout the Mega Man Star Force series.
The Mega Man Star Force releases originally made their debut on the portable dual-screen Nintendo DS platform – a truly bespoke platform.
As part of its quality-of-life updates, the Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection allows players to change the screen layout, size ratio, and resize speed so one’s “Visualizer” can appear exactly the area of their choosing alongside the proper wallpaper.
Other quality-of-life features as part of the Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection include assist controls that allow players to change one’s encounter rate and speed, along with a suite of difficulty settings to make things as easy or as challenging as one desires.
When it comes to extra content, Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection features a Gallery, Music, Battle Card illustrations, and Bonus Cards from the original release – a nice touch.
An electrifying retro revival, Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection is making sure the original Nintendo DS releases are ready for a new generation when it launches later this month.
Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection will release for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam on March 27.
