Austin, Texas trio American Sharks ask the all-important question, “Do y’all still headbang?” to kick off their latest punked-out, two-plus-minute sonic burst, “Bang Yer Head.” The track comes from the outfit’s upcoming third full-length, Not Dead Yet. It’s an anthemic, fuzzy little ditty assisted by a short, noisy bit of lead work from Gwar guitarist Balsac. In fact American Sharks—Roky Moon (vocals/guitar/bass) , Nick Cornetti (drums), Aaron Echegaray (additional guitar)—brought a host of guest guitarists into the studio to wok their magic, including members of Red Fang, Rise Against and the Sword.
Not Dead Yet was produced, recorded and mixed at King Electric Recording by Roky Moon, while mastering was performed by Alberto De Icaza.
