First-Person Sci-Fi Horror Title Toxoplasma Steam Demo Dropping April 9

The world of SimmeringConcrete’s first-person sci-fi horror title Toxoplasma will see a Steam demo starting April 9.

Set on an abandoned space station, Toxoplasma raises the stakes by having players develop a bio-weapon that has been designed to end humanity.

Along the way, Toxoplasma will have players identifying anomalies before one’s hallucinations become fatal. Be warned, though; the infection one experiences manifests itself differently every playthrough.

Solo developer Mohammad Baqer said the following:

“When I first started working on Toxoplasma in 2025, I wanted it to leave an impact on the player.

The psychological horror games that stuck with me the most are the ones that played into real human fears and experiences; for example, seeing your loved ones change due to mental illness, the eventual loss of them, and the aftermath. 

These are the themes of Toxoplasma. 

I truly hope that the players will enjoy a fun and spooky experience that leaves them thinking as well!”
