Subway Surfers X Angry Birds 2 Collaboration Announced

Bringing together two of mobile gaming’s most iconic franchises, SYBO‘s Subway Surfers is crossing over with Rovio Entertainment Ltd‘s Angry Birds 2 for an upcoming in-game collaboration.

As part of Subway Surfers’ 14th anniversary, Angry Birds will make its way to the title part of a limited-time crossover event beginning May 11.

During this time, Subway Surfers players can take advantage of new themed content, characters, and gameplay experiences. 

Note this update will launch as part of the game’s upcoming superhero-themed Super Runners birthday event set in SYBO’s home of Copenhagen.

Mathias Gredal Nørvig, CEO of SYBO, said the following:

“As we celebrate 14 years of Subway Surfers, collaborating with a franchise as iconic as Angry Birds felt like a natural fit.

Bringing the World Tour to Copenhagen, where SYBO is based, made it especially meaningful for us as we celebrate the game’s anniversary and the community that’s grown with it.”

Ben Mattes, Creative Officer for Angry Birds, also said the following:

Note that the Swag Adventure event will be available to players within Angry Birds 2 at a later date.
